Took a quick trip up to Tallulah Gorge over the weekend. I had hoped to get to go down in the water, but they only give out 100 passes per day, and only if the weather is cooperating. There are 1099 stairs to get down to the base of the gorge from the park center. It is a slog, and I while I enjoyed it, there really isn't anything at the bottom unless you have a pass to enter the river. So unless you're looking for a good leg day, you might just want to hike across the bridge to get the beautiful views from both sides.
If you ever do stop by I highly recommend the Café named Tallulah 1882. They have fantastic teas, coffees, and sandwiches. Unfortunately I can't say the same about "The Edge Café" It's a bar, they do not have café, I was very sad. At least they had a bathroom.
